Do Not Use Water Wash Car Engine

We definitely fun and comfortable when looking at the car clean, shiny and engine parts are not dirty. Do not use water when cleaning the engine because on the surface there are many traces of oil can not be removed with water.

The use of water can also cause a short circuit and car fuss. Preferably use of the most classic of kerosene to remove oil and grease on the surface of the engine. Now it's easier when there is a lot of detergents sold in stores accessory to disappear grease and tar. Spray the material in place is necessary, let it soak in and then wipe with a dry cloth.

Grease and lubricant residues should be cleaned immediately from engine exterior. This is because it can damage the fan belt, rubber hose and electric cable. Apart from grease, dust or mud that sticks to the electrical components such as the alternator (starter motor), generator, starter coils, distributors and lighting can absorb water vapour and cause a short circuit.

On the other hand if the battery terminals are visible white sediment, flush with hot water then wipe with a cloth. The sediment can be removed easily, but be careful and do not let water get into the battery. Ventilation holes on the battery cover should also be ensured to be always open.

When cleaning the engine, vehicle owners can determine if there is leakage of lubricating oil, an important element to ensure the continuity of all the moving parts work. If there is lubricant leakage, immediately find the cause and add lubricant when less. In normal circumstances, after a few years, the engine chamber gasket can leak a little and was dripping lube. This can be seen on the floor of the car is parked. If the amount of droplets that many, probably in oil sum gasket is damaged.

In normal conditions the lubricant is reduced through condensation and combustion. But not many about 1/300-1/500 of total fuel consumption. Amount of lubricant can be determined by examining the measuring gauge.

Clean the outside is easier. Send only to the car wash and within half an hour, your car is clean and beautiful again. However, if you want to wash yourself, use the right detergent but avoid washing soap or bleach. Typically, a new car is painted with high quality paint. If the surface is not cleaned well, it was quickly broken.

Dust and mud that stuck to the vehicle body can quickly absorb moisture and damage the paint. Besides looks dirty, paint resilient and cracks appear. The first step in cleaning the vehicle, you need to spray to get rid of dust without using soap. When the surface of the vehicle body to be kept dry and not too dirty, dust can be removed easily. But, if the dirt can not be removed, use a clean damp cloth.

Use a dry cloth may cause scratches or scratch on the surface of the paint. This is because the dirt has a hard dust and sand grain. When washing vehicles using car shampoo, do not let it stick too long in the body of the vehicle because it will increase the white spots particles and chemicals that can damage the paint. After washing, dry the car body with a clean cloth. For better results after dry rub car wax. In addition shiny add on cars, wax protects the surface to remain interesting and alive.

Save on Car Fuel

Fuel price volatility today will affect vehicle users. As consumers we should find a way to deal with the rising cost of fuel for survival budget. The following tips may be helpful, so that your wallet may still have dollars.

Fill the fuel in the night / morning
Why do we need to refuel at night or in the morning? Did you know that during cold ambient temperatures, it can reduce the excess heat from gasoline mixed with content thereby making the gas content is lower than during warm periods.

Fill up the tank full of gasoline
When the gasoline in the tank is not full, the excess space will provide an opportunity for a lot of gasoline to evaporate with. Thus causing gasoline decreases drastically.

Reduce accelerate while driving
The logic is so simple, the more you press the gas pedal, the more quickly you move away from the fuel tank.

Make sure maintain by schedule
Service your car according to schedule. If necessary replace the new filter, make changes because the engine must be in good condition then always save fuel.

Check air pressure
Tires actually affect fuel consumption. If less pressure then the more energy that will be used for your vehicle.

Reduce air conditioning
Air-conditioning is a biggest energy-consuming no matter at home or in a vehicle. So use it when necessary. Open the windows if it is cold outside conditions except rain.

Reduce the load.
For those who always keep the items or set of golf in your vehicle, they can stop it. Because of the heavy load will increase fuel consumption.

Avoid use low gear.
Always be aware of the speed that suits your gear. If your vehicle is automatically ensure that you immediately increase velocity and maintain an appropriate speed.

Turn off the engine when waiting
If you leave your engine running without movement in a long time, it will increase fuel consumption. As such, change it if you want to reduce the wastage of fuel.

Use the vehicle for long distances
If it is too close like retail stores in your neighbourhood, you should not use the vehicle. Quite simply walking or cycling. Not only save, but you have the benefit to the environment as well as your own body.

Car Brake Care

Imagine the rainy weather and slippery, you have brake problems, surely the risk of accidents. Although quite trivial, brake function is critical to a vehicle and need to be addressed. Most vehicles are now matched disc brakes on all four tires, but there's still just like using a pair of 1,300 cc vehicles.

No matter the type of braking system used, vehicle owners should pay more attention before the accident risk in the event of damage. The system needs to be maintained if the burnt smell from one of the four tires, brakes inelastic cause the vehicle to stop far from the expected as well as a noisy sound when braking friction. In addition, the brake pads need to be replaced for both sides if the thickness of less than 3 millimetres (mm) or there is dirt lubricants.

If you use the brake pads are worn or not equivalent, it can cause the vehicle as thrown, once braked suddenly. When replacing the brake pads, make sure the original product or from reputable brands for the best effect. If damaged, the brake discs will need to do the grinding process due to surface scratches and rough and can cause the brake pads do not last long.

Meanwhile, brake fluid should be added from each time as if without it the brakes are not working properly. Leak in the brake system should be repaired immediately as it will gum up the engine, but also can cause system malfunctions.

Vehicle Tire Code

Tyres are a major component and an essential element for a vehicle. Without it, the vehicle will not move. Did you know there is a code on the tire that carries a particular meaning? Let us share about how to recognize the code on the vehicle tire.

Let us try to interpret the tire code below

185/75/R14 82S
  1. The first 205 numbers in the series refers to the width of the tire in millimetres, the distance is measured from side to side.
  2. Number 75 is the aspect ratio of the tire or tire height than width.
  3. Letter R refers to a radial tire construction and figure 14 refers to the diameter of the tire rim to allow loaded.
  4. Number 94 represents the index's ability to transport heavy tires. For example, the number 82 means the tire can lift up to a maximum weight of 475 kg. Refers to the maximum weight per tire, we need to multiply four times to obtain the vehicle's weight carrying capacity with four tires. (Example: 475 x 4 = 1,900 kg)
  5. Letter H last state maximum speed a tire designed. Standard speed of S in the example, this means that the tires can reach and maintain speeds of up to 180 km / h.

Below is a list of the maximum speed chart symbol for every letter of the alphabet and load index.

To find out the age of the tires please check the side indicated week and year code number. For example, code 2506 means the tire is manufactured in the 25th week in 2006.

In conclusion, there is a code on the tire is different and it is designed for varying conditions. Importantly, tire care must be prioritized to ensure that each trip runs smoothly and safely.
